Kazuri — the Swahili word for "small and beautiful” — started in 1975 in Nairobi as a two-woman ceramic workshop experimenting with bead making. Decades later, the enterprise trains and employs over 300 single mothers to handcraft unique beads and jewelry with a mission to create a meaningful social impact. As a fair-trade brand, Kazuri provides its employees with fair wages, healthcare, and a healthy working environment.
