Goodee Pops Up at The Whitney Museum of American Art

Inspired by Making Knowing: Craft in Art, 1950 – 2019, Goodee has teamed up with the Whitney Shop to host a pop-up celebrating the art of making. From handmade furniture to ceramics and textiles made by artisans from all over the world, each item for sale tells a unique story of craftsmanship and positive social impact.

"The Whitney Shop is excited for our patrons to explore woven, beaded, carved, thrown, sewn and stitched objects sourced from around the world by Goodee: passionate advocates of multi-generational traditions. Each one of these objects—many one-of-a-kind—connects our shop to an individual maker. A connection created not only by the threads and fibers and clay that form them, but by the stories they hold."

"More than ever before, we believe craft today possesses the power to serve as a bold and important cultural tool for exchange & conversation. Following the long tradition of handcraft, we seek to share and showcase stories from all over the world that we feel hold the potential to change our world for the greater good."
