Description

Creating products that connect nature, culture, and tradition, Makaua effectively combines artistry with utility. This hamper is one example: Crafted from soft, pliable palm, its subtle conical shape offers plenty of space to hold your laundry. Its natural upper portion is nicely contrasted by a pop of color at the base. Simple and attractive—no need to tuck your hamper out of site any longer.

The baskets are hand-woven and hand-dyed so there may be slight variations in color.

Q&A

Goodee Presents

Makaua

Goodee loves Makaua for its handwoven palm fiber baskets that merge heritage craft with everyday function. Made by a women-led collective in a low-income region of Mexico, each piece supports artisan families while preserving generations of weaving tradition. Crafted from renewable palm leaves, these storage and décor pieces reflect a thoughtful balance of cultural identity, natural materials, and lasting design.
