First popularized by Scandinavian cabinetmakers in the 1930s, rail-mounted shelving systems quickly became a hallmark of mid-century modern design as architects and designers embraced their versatility and elegance.

With the Shelf Library System, Copenhagen-based designer Kim Richardt offers a contemporary interpretation of this enduring tradition. Released in 2016 for FRAMA, the design distills the concept into its purest form — a system that is both infinitely modular and timelessly refined.

Adaptable to any environment, the Shelf Library System is more than storage: it is a functional framework for modern living, balancing utility with FRAMA’s signature sense of sculptural simplicity.

- Daily cleaning is done with a soft cloth wrung out in clean water
- Avoid using cleaners containing any type of chemicals on the furniture
- After cleaning, the wood should be dried with a soft cloth to prevent streaks and scratches
- For routine cleaning the steel, ph-neutral soap and water is sufficient when applied with a sponge or cloth

Shipping Policy

We currently only ship to Canada and the US (except PO boxes, APO/FPO and US Territories).

Your order will be shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) so that you don't have to pay extra fees upon delivery. Please allow 2-10 business days for delivery from receipt of tracking. Add 5 business days for shipments to Canada.

Free shipping on orders above $175USD is applicable to USA and Canada orders with exception of Hawaii and Alaska where air shipping rates apply.

Selective items categorized as furniture, rugs, lighting, long brooms, and oversized are exempt from free shipping. A shipping charge for these items will be charged on your order at check out. Freight charge does not include assembly. 

Return Policy

We hope you’ll love your purchase. In case you need to make a return, you have 30 days from receipt to send eligible items back to us, with the exception of furniture and rugs. You have 14 days from receipt to send eligible furniture and rugs. Items that are customized or special ordered are not eligible for return. Items discounted by 50% or more are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return.
