Redefining trash as treasure, PET Lamp offers innovative, solutions-oriented light fixtures while empowering the artisans that expertly craft them. Initiated by Spanish designer Alvaro Catalán de Ocón in 2012, the project aims to repurpose landfill- and ocean-bound PET bottles by turning them into contemporary hand-made lampshades imbued with cultural significance. Each unique collection tells a story of partnership with traditional craft communities from around the world and addresses plastic pollution while keeping time-honored weaving techniques alive.
