Collecting Stories: Considered pieces gathered along the way
I travel a lot and the souvenirs I bring back are always objects that might remind me of the sense of place, but will also look fantastic amongst the rest of my treasures I've accumulated.
I love things that have major personality, and have a beautiful story behind the makers who craft them so that I can feel a connection to them once they are in my home and out of that country or store. But I also gravitate towards things that bear much of the makers hand, or process, whether woven things, painted things, polished things.
I do have a small obsessions with always bringing home decorative objects that have zero function, they just happen to be totally beautiful or remind me of a moment on my travels, and I'm only just starting to get worried we will run out of room in our London flat for all the lovely objects.
