Goodee x Niwaki Moku Tool Set - Exclusive
Description
A gardener’s companion for both precision and durability, the Goodee x Niwaki Moku Tool Set brings Japanese craftsmanship to your everyday rituals outdoors. Thoughtfully designed for balance, longevity, and beauty, each piece honors the art of gardening as much as the garden itself.
Moku Cultivator
Crafted with robust carbon steel tines and a smooth ash wood handle, the Moku Cultivator is built to glide through dense, rocky soil—loosening earth, uprooting weeds, and creating space for new growth. Strong yet comfortable in the hand, it’s a tool made to last through seasons of steady use.
Moku Trowel
Hand-forged in Sanjo, Niigata by a father-and-son team of metalworkers, the Moku Trowel reflects generations of skill and care. Its surface bears subtle hammer marks, each one a trace of its making. Ideal for potting, planting, and light garden use, this trowel embodies quiet strength and craftsmanship—best reserved for softer soils rather than heavy digging.
* This set includes one Moku Cultivator and one Moku Trowel.

Niwaki Use + Care Instructions
Correct Use:
- Japanese steel is hard and sharp, and can be more brittle than some people are used to - it will chip if abused
- Do not cut wire, metal, stone, plastic or any other hard material
- Do not twist or apply uneven pressure
- Cut diagonally across branches (not straight across) so you cut along the fibres
- Use the base of the blades, not the tips, for heavier cuts
Keeping Them Clean:
- Remove leaf resin, rust and gunk with water and a rough cloth
- Dry, wipe over with oil and store in a dry place
Keeping Them Sharp:
New tools won’t need sharpening for some time, but after a while you’ll notice them gradually lose their edge. Use our Niwaki Maintenance Kit for best results (#1000 grit is best for general sharpening).
- Sharpen Secateurs every couple of weeks
- Sharpen Shears every time you use them - the difference is amazing
