Description
If you’re partial to adding a dash of milk or a sprinkle of something sweet to your morning brew, this elegant 1616 / Arita ensemble consisting of a milk jug, a sugar bowl, and a matching tray will complete your ritual beautifully. Created by Dutch design duo Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings, it is crafted from a dense clay of crushed stone that’s specific to the town of Arita and offers a distinctly European take on the forms and colors of traditional Japanese ware. The simple, minimalist design is so appealing that you’ll want to keep it as decoration in the kitchen when not in use.
